Preliminary Study on Preparation of Deproteinized Natural Rubber/Graphene Oxide Nanocomposite

Deproteinized natural rubber/graphene oxide (DPNR/GO) nanocomposite was prepared and characterized in the present work. GO synthesized by oxidation process via Hummer modified method, it with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), water contact angle. The presence of hydrophilic functional groups sheet confirmed FT-IR, NMR characteristic XRD scattering pattern observed at about 2θ= 9.5° successful synthesis GO. incorporated into DPNR graft copolymerization using tetraethylenpentamine/tert-butyl hydroperoxide as redox initiators. DPNR/GO nanocomposites 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 phr were fabricated through FTIR, tensile strength, scanning electron microscope. stress break increased when suspension homogenized before copolymerization. content is found to increase for nanocomposite; however, hardness did not change high loading. result indicated that formation materials between rubber affected morphology hydrophilicity
